The building also houses a Kölsch pub, two kiosks, a bakery, a copy shop, a hairdresser, a pizzeria, an Asian snack bar, a McFIT fitness studio and much more.
Both Cologne city centre (10 minutes by tram/bike), the university (10 minutes on foot) and the nearby student and pub district (Zülpicher Straße) are within easy reach. The university clinics are within walking distance (10 minutes), as are various shopping facilities: REWE (opposite the building), REAL (5 minutes on foot). Within walking distance you will also find many nice restaurants, nice cafés as well as many other shops (baker, flower shops, fruit/vegetable shops, clothing shops, post office, cleaning service) and a cinema. The green belt, the city forest, the Aachener Weiher with beer garden and the Volksgarten are within walking distance. On Saturdays, the city flea market has established itself on the large parking lot next to the house.
The Uni-Center is located at the corner of Luxemburger Str./Universitätsstraße. It is very close to the bus, tram and taxi stops. The bus stop of line 18 ("Weißhausstraße") is located directly in front of the building (1 minute walk). With line 18 you can reach Cologne central station in 13 minutes. The next DB train station ("Köln Süd") is 12 minutes on foot/1 train station away. The access road to the A4 ("Kreuz Klettenberg") is 5-10 minutes away (depending on traffic).
